Cover Experimentations

Inverting the image from an advert to create an X-ray like effect with blue tones using photoshop.

Panoramic photographs of objects and rooms in the house using iPhone. Aiming to find ways of distorting my reality by jittering the camera or pausing longer at some moments.

The pink rectangles to substitute for speech marks are supposed to be in the PDF but won't show for some reason. I thought it went well with the blue toned photograph and is meant to appear like a pixel.

I wanted to start off with a page that was overwhelming and appears complicated like how I found the Playstation wiki page when I first read it. I've experimented with layering the text frames over one another for the contents page, and with the typefaces to create different shapes. For example, slimplay has a wider look as compared to gamestation condensed.

Inspired by Sam Bailey's work distorting everyday objects. Using a panoramic photo I took of the bathroom to represent my everyday mundane object. I uploaded it onto photoshop and added colours onto it. I then used the clone tool to layer sections of the photograph and create a new image. I like the thought of the idea as it links with some of the 90s adverts where the people's real lives seemed boring  compared to their online personas. However in a publication, I feel it would distract from the text or seem too busy.
